Job Description & How to Apply Below

Aon has an opportunity available for a Surety Analyst!

Do you have a basic knowledge of Surety, bond issuance and execution, and Surety bond management applications? Or are you organized, meticulous, and eager to learn about the industry, including bid, final, miscellaneous, and court bonds? If so, this may be the next step in your career!

This is a hybrid role that requires working onsite 3 days a week from a local Aon office. We are open to considering applications from candidates across the country.

What the day will look like

As a Surety Analyst, your day will vary depending on your level of Surety experience. For those with no experience, we will provide training and mentorship. Less experienced Analysts learn how to provide technical advice and support to non‑surety personnel and coordinate receipt of underwriting information. More experienced Analysts work more independently, interact with clients and Surety Advisors, and may mentor junior colleagues.

All Analysts, regardless of Surety knowledge, will confirm that bonds are issued in compliance with surety lines of credit and assist in negotiating approvals for ethnic or non‑standard bond execution.

Key Tasks
  • Prepare Consent of Surety Final Payment documents, prequalification letters, riders, and other client‑required documents.
  • Prepare General Indemnity Agreements/Bond Applications.
  • Run expiration lists and update records per client needs.
  • Maintain accurate electronic bond files and financial documents.
  • Invoice and maintain account receivables/payables.
  • Update client information following renewal completion.
Skills that will lead to success

We use Aon Bond Link , Bridge, Outlook, and other proprietary and commercial programs. We will provide training on these tools.

  • Strong organizational, time‑management, and multi‑tasking skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately.
  • Experience or education in Construction Management, Insurance, or Surety.
Education and Licensing Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience. Maintain Notary Public designation and appropriate Producer license.

Benefits

Aon offers a comprehensive package for full‑time and regular part‑time colleagues, including a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions, an employee stock purchase plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and dependent care accounts, life insurance, supplemental AD&D insurance, tuition assistance, commuter benefits, and an employee assistance program with counseling sessions. Eligible employees also receive paid vacation, paid sick leave, short‑term and optional long‑term disability, and paid holidays.
