Position Summary

In this Market Leader, Hybrid Wholesaler role, you will either work out of our Chicago location (conveniently located downtown Chicago) or an office in Miami.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Wealth Client Group of Northern Trust Asset Management ("NTAM") for optimal top‑down/bottom‑up relationship management driving distribution of NTAM solutions through Northern Trust Wealth Management.
  • Align with NTAM leadership and sales teams to create targeted tactical plans for specific investor segments and clients to capture flows through a dynamic product‑focused strategy.
  • Partner closely with product and marketing teams to create and execute plans to promote the NTAM offering.
  • Identify appropriate content and collateral needed for consumption to ultimately drive new opportunities.
  • Design coverage model and resource plan to support sales efforts with existing NTAM clients and prospects, including optimal coverage models and metrics in order to achieve high degrees of success.
  • Possess in‑depth knowledge of Alternatives, Direct Indexing, Custom Fixed Income SMAs & Active Equity SMAs.
  • Identify and address offices and segments that have the highest probability of product adoption.
  • As progress is made, work closely with partners to introduce additional offerings and deepen client relationships across the firm.
  • Build deep relationships with all wealth investment and business partners in your territory to enhance relationships and drive opportunities to retain assets and grow where possible.
  • Travel to Wealth Management offices in our East Region to discuss all above (50–75% travel).
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the investment management industry.
  • Experience with in‑depth knowledge and/or experience with Alternatives, Direct Indexing, Custom Fixed Income SMAs & Active Equity SMAs.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Completion of, or working toward, an MBA, CFA or investment certification is preferred.
  • FINRA licenses – 7 and 63 required.

  • Confident grasp of the investment landscape, capital markets and product differentiation across the spectrum of asset classes.
  • Solid organization navigation skills, including experience operating within global management units.
Travel Requirements

Travel to Wealth Management offices domestically (50–75% travel).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $99,600 – 169,200 USD. Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
