Corporate Tax Manager
The Tax Manager will be involved with preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations for the corporate office and plant locations, will support the financial health of the company by optimizing tax strategies related to manufacturing and corporate operations, will support M&A and green field growth projects, as well as assist in optimizing the corporate entity structure and business model.
This role will ensure timely submission of all tax documents to minimize liabilities and avoid penalties.
- Prepare corporate tax returns form 1120 and plant location returns ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Review and analyze tax returns, financial statements, and transactional documents, and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
- Prepare monthly and annual tax provision and related journal entry for monthly and year end close and special projects.
- Substantiate and reconcile the income tax payable balances.
- Validate quarterly tax risk assessment in accordance with FIN 48.
- Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual income tax provisions, in accordance with ASC 740, including current and deferred tax calculations, effective tax rate reconciliations, and tax footnote support.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support audits and maintain accurate tax records.
- Stand up processes to maintain effective corporate control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
- Stay current on tax legislation changes and advise management on potential impacts and opportunities, and advise on any developments impactful to the business, such as obtaining R&D credits or tariff recovery.
- Support tax compliance and advisory matters, including transfer pricing documentation and analysis for cross-border transactions.
- Handle related tax areas including payroll, property, expatriate, and international taxes as applicable.
- Review and comment on tax aspects of financial models, loans, agreements, and structuring calculations.
- Quantify tax exposures and perform due diligence, including review of tax returns, financials, and other documentation to identify and evaluate potential tax risks and opportunities.
- Experience with The U.S. Section 41 Research & Development Tax Credit, tariffs, customs, withholding and value added tax rules.
- Maintain and foster relationships with our 3rd party tax advisors.

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field;
Master’s degree, JD or LLM in Tax will be a plus. - Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation or experience in mergers and acquisitions tax practice preferred.
- Experience in corporate tax or international tax, with knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and OECD guidelines preferred.
- 8+ years of experience working in tax planning and audit support.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to attend meetings across time zones as necessary and when required.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with a track record of driving financial growth.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact collaboratively and effectively with diverse team members at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, accounting and financial management software and tools; knowledge with ERP software will be a plus.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and implement changes in an entrepreneurial hands‑on operational environment.
