Position: Venture Capital Job – Venture Capital Analyst – DRW

We have a Venture Capital Analyst opening on our Principal Investing team in Chicago. This role offers the opportunity to join a small team focusing on early-stage technology investments. This role will have broad exposure to the venture capital investment process and will gain meaningful experience across all aspects of the team’s activities.

What you’ll be doing :

Conduct due diligence, research and analysis on potential investment opportunities

Develop financial models, conduct valuation analysis and market sizing, and prepare investment memoranda and presentations

Support the team in managing deal flow, including screening new opportunities and preparing materials for investment committee meetings

Monitor portfolio companies and industry trends, including competitive landscapes and emerging technologies

Assist in building and maintaining relationships with entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, and other key stakeholders in the technology ecosystem

Contribute to various internal initiatives and special projects related to the Principal Investing team’s strategy and operations

What we’re looking for:

1-3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field with a strong academic record

Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely

High level of intellectual curiosity and a passion for technology and innovation

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint)
