Role Overview
A premier, high-growth financial technology and market services firm based in Chicago is seeking a sophisticated Controller to join their leadership team. Operating at the intersection of advanced technology and global financial markets, this innovative organization provides mission‑critical platform services to sophisticated institutional clients worldwide.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee all global accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple domestic and international entities. Working closely with the Head of Finance & Accounting, you will modernize accounting infrastructure within Net Suite, optimize a structured multi‑currency close process, and ensure rigorous compliance in a highly regulated FINRA/NFA environment.
Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year.
Shift: First.

8 AM – 4 PM.

Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations
- Own full‑cycle accounting operations including general ledger, account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation across all entities.
- Prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Establish and own a structured, documented close process — including EXS and all international subsidiaries (UK, Netherlands) — with defined timelines, checklists, and delegation frameworks.
- Own and manage intercompany accounting, eliminations, and consolidated financial reporting across the full entity structure.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
- Oversee daily cash management activities across multiple bank accounts and subsidiaries, including monitoring balances, liquidity, and cash movements.
- Provide accounting oversight and support for billing activities across non‑EXS entities, ensuring invoices are accurate and issued in compliance with contractual terms.
