Role Summary

The Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of investor data within CRM systems while supporting and overseeing the execution of transfer agency and capital activity processes, including capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting. This role operates independently on moderately complex tasks and serves as a primary reviewer of Analyst work, ensuring adherence to established controls, operational procedures, and delivery of high‑quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and oversee investor record setup and ongoing maintenance within CRM systems, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Validate key investor attributes including entity details, contacts, banking instructions, and tax information against source documentation
  • Perform reconciliations between CRM platforms and downstream systems to ensure data integrity across reporting processes
  • Support the execution of capital calls, distributions, and investor account statements
  • Review and validate transaction processing and investor deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Ensure all outputs align with fund governing documents and established operational procedures
  • Serve as the primary reviewer of Analyst work across investor setup, capital activity, and reporting processes
  • Identify, escalation, and resolve discrepancies while ensuring adherence to internal controls and audit requirements
  • Deliver high‑quality work with strong attention to detail and minimal revision required
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities, including automation and standardization initiatives
  • Develop and maintain procedures and controls related to investor data and capital activity workflows
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to junior team members
  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance, training, and feedback to Analysts to support development and performance
  • Support workflow coordination to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and clients to address routine inquiries and support operational needs
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Working knowledge of financial services, private equity structures, or investor onboarding processes preferred
  • Understanding of capital activity processes (capital calls, distributions, partner accounting) preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and workflow tools, including Dynamics 365, and data governance practices
  • Ability to interpret financial and legal documentation and translate information into structured data
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Relevant experience in private capital, fund administration, or investor data management
  • Prior experience reviewing work and providing oversight to junior staff preferred

Salary Range

$47,500 - 71,300 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well‑being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
