As a C&IB Associate Relationship Manager (F) within PNC's Corporate Banking organization, you will be based in Chicago, IL.
Job Responsibilities- Performs or assists in banking activities, including underwriting, relationship management, and product suite activities; works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.
- Identifies and appropriately mitigates various types of risk—regulatory, reputational, operational, and credit—and helps ensure quality for new and existing clients.
- Analyzes information and applies critical thinking to design and execute client solutions, including taking a transaction from request to booking and moving a sales conversation from proposal to closed business.
- Interacts with internal and external clients to gather or clarify information and expand existing client relationships, aiming to independently generate revenue and deepen share of wallet.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze, evaluate, and mitigate credit risk using knowledge of credit fundamentals and internal credit policies.
- Participates in social learning opportunities—networking with business representatives, mentoring, job shadowing, and community outreach—to build a solid foundation in credit, product, and sales.
- Formal credit training.
- Experience with middle‑market and large corporate clients (100 mm+).
- SIE, Series 7, 79, and Series 63 within 180 days of employment.
- Knowledge of public finance, healthcare, corporate finance, and asset‑backed finance licensing requirements.
- Public Finance & Healthcare – SIE, Series 52 & 63 (79 optional) within 180 days.
- Corporate Finance – SIE, 79, and 63 (7 optional/with manager approval) within 180 days.
- Asset‑Backed Finance – SIE, 7, 79, and 63 within 180 days.
- Other supervisory licenses may be required at the manager’s discretion.
- Client prospecting, client relationship building, credit risk analysis.
- Customer engagement, financial analysis, financial modeling.
- Investment banking, public speaking, relationship management.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Business acumen and industry knowledge.
- Decision making and critical thinking.
- Effective communication, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Managing multiple priorities.
- University or college degree; 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Base Salary: $90,000 – $150,000, incentive eligible based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
