Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and forward‑thinking tax leader to join our team as the Director of Global Tax Accounting. In this pivotal role, you will lead our global tax accounting team and provide strategic guidance on tax accounting and external reporting matters, reporting to the Senior Director of Global Tax Operations. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation of projections and quarterly/year‑end reporting of the global corporate income tax provision, uncertain tax positions, and effective tax rate for US GAAP, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and Sarbanes‑Oxley Section 404.

You will have the opportunity to shape our tax accounting operations, processes and controls, develop top talent, drive innovation, and use tax accounting insights to enhance strategic decision‑making within the global finance organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projections and quarterly & year‑end reporting of the global corporate income tax provision in compliance with US GAAP and ASC 740.
  • Manage all aspects of global income tax reporting, including deferred tax assets/liabilities, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and effective tax rate calculations, and communicate results to executive leadership.
  • Analyze complex tax and financial data using technology and analytics to derive insights and add strategic value.
  • Collaborate with global tax colleagues in compliance, planning, and controversy to advise on tax accounting considerations under ASC 740.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners, external consultants, and statutory auditors.
  • Provide guidance, support and critical review oversight to the tax accounting team on tax accounting matters, including SOX‑related and other internal controls.
  • Champion operational excellence through process improvement, leveraging best practices, supporting evolution of tax software tools, and promoting automation and technology to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead the global tax accounting team with a growth mentality, mentor team members and promote a high‑performance culture focused on collaboration, professional development, and strategic thinking.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on US GAAP/ASC 740/SEC regulatory changes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field;
    Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax preferred.
  • 10+ years of diverse global tax experience in public accounting and/or US‑based multinational corporate tax department, with at least 5 years of specific tax accounting experience and 2+ years of Director‑level experience.
  • Extensive experience with tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740 for public US‑based multinational corporations.
  • Proven experience leading, managing, developing, and motivating high‑performing teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, conveying complex tax matters with simplicity and clarity to non‑experts.
  • Strong knowledge of tax accounting software and systems, including One Source Tax provision software (OTP or similar).
  • Experience managing automated processes and using data visualization tools and tax technology (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
