The Team

Global Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) is a subsidiary of A&M, providing global leadership and advisory services to a range of industries. TAG professionals specialize in financial and accounting buy‑side and sell‑side due diligence, capital markets and accounting advisory, transaction analytics and related M&A services.

TAG’s Transaction Advisory Group seeks a Senior Associate in major U.S. markets, including New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Nashville, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

How you will contribute

As a Senior Associate you will work with a highly motivated team across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, restaurants, business and industrial services, healthcare, software & technology, energy and financial services. You will gain exposure to our integrated due diligence approach that combines operational, functional and industry expertise with Big Four quality financial accounting and tax services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying key risks and potential deal breakers, assessing strengths and weaknesses against industry benchmarks, and evaluating the potential transaction within the client’s investment strategy.
  • Analyze detailed financial statements and operational data, transforming the data into insights that drive discussions with target management and support conclusions.
  • Assess the quality of the target company’s reported earnings, net assets and cash flows.
  • Assist in constructing deal‑oriented reports and presentations for clients that highlight key financial, commercial and other findings, and articulate how these findings inform valuation, agreements and negotiation points.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and client personnel, serving as a secondary point of contact for day‑to‑day execution matters.
  • Be actively involved in building and maintaining client relationships and other business development opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of audit and financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm, with at least 1 year in financial due diligence.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related major.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work both as a team member and individually.

Benefits and Compensation

Base salary is $130,000 annually, with discretionary bonus program based on performance. Regular employees working 30+ hours per week are entitled to health care plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, disability coverages, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with discretionary contribution.

Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (prorated for part‑time), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday and parental leave.
