Futures Trader for RBC's 24‑hour desk. Shift Time: 3PM-12AM CT (Central Time).
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain futures sales, execution and clearing relationships for RBC Capital Markets.
- Assist with support side on Trading Systems.
- Collaborate with internal divisions (GELP, FICC and FX) to bring Futures execution flow to the 24‑hour Desk and back‑off salespeople on execution and other issues.
- Market Fixed income, Commodity and Index Futures Clients.
- Grow and maintain client base from sales referrals and existing relationships.
- Produce and distribute real time market commentary.
- Advise futures clients and solicit orders.
- Generate 24‑hour desk futures execution income in line with department goals.
- Minimize trade execution risk.
- Notify manager of, resolve and document all trading errors.
- Proven accurate trade execution track record for US FCM and/or Investment Bank working on a 24‑hr desk executing futures and options transactions in worldwide markets.
- Minimum of 3‑5 years of futures execution experience in current capacity is preferred.
- In‑depth knowledge of futures electronic execution systems and of CFTC, SEC and Exchange Rules and Regulations for trade execution, including audit trail, order entry rules and sales supervision rules and regulations.
- Highly motivated and energetic self‑starter who works well with teams.
- Series 3 required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of all Global Futures markets to aid in best execution.

The good‑faith expected salary range for the above position is $165,000-$200,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company‑matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance;
and paid time‑off plan.
