Position Title:
Assistant Vice President.
As an Assistant Vice President, you will maintain and improve the financial data management and financial modelling processes of the equities and commodities teams. The role requires developing predictive economic models and investment portfolio optimization models, conducting macroeconomic research, performing financial research and quantitative analysis, refining quantitative models for valuations and price forecasting, producing weekly financial and quarterly economic reports, and optimizing data through database management, data cleaning, and statistical programming.
- Maintain and improve the financial data management and financial modelling processes of the equities and commodities teams.
- Develop predictive economic models and investment portfolio optimization models utilizing time-series techniques (panel, fixed effects, ARIMA regressions) on MS Microsoft, Stata, Eviews, Matlab, and Bloomberg platforms.
- Conduct macroeconomic research on inflation targeting, fiscal budgeting, labor markets, and fiscal paths.
- Perform financial research and quantitative analysis using MS Office (VBA), Bloomberg, and code-based development software including Matlab.
- Refine quantitative models used for economic and financial analysis, including valuations and price forecasting, to identify investable financial assets.
- Conduct research for macroeconomic strategic planning to inform financial investment decisions based on market conditions.
- Produce weekly financial reports and quarterly economic reports for the real estate and commodities sectors to interpret market conditions and provide market insights.
- Optimize data through database management, data cleaning and collection, regression analysis, and statistical programming.
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of experience developing predictive economic models and investment portfolio optimization models using time-series techniques.
- Proficiency with MS Microsoft, Stata, Eviews, Matlab, and Bloomberg platforms.
- Experience conducting macroeconomic research and performing financial research and quantitative analysis using VBA, Bloomberg, and Matlab.
- Strong database management skills, data cleaning, regression analysis, and statistical programming.
