Finance Manager | Chicago | $130,000 to $150,000 + Bonus/Benefits
Our client is a long-established, privately held organization with a diversified portfolio of operating businesses, real estate assets, investments, and strategic ventures. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple business lines while partnering closely with senior leadership on financial planning, investment analysis, reporting, and long-term value creation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities- Lead financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting across a diverse portfolio of operating businesses, real estate assets, joint ventures, and investment holdings
- Prepare executive-level reporting packages, including portfolio performance analysis, valuation reporting, and long-term return assessments
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models supporting investment opportunities, debt structures, cash flow forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
- Support capital allocation and investment decisions through detailed financial analysis and actionable insights
- Design and implement tools, dashboards, and processes to improve financial reporting, consolidation, and overall finance operations
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects across multiple business units and asset classes
- Prepare and analyze federal and state tax projections in partnership with finance leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive long-term value creation
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, business planning, and financial decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA preferred but not required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, FP&A, investment analysis, or related experience
- Advanced Excel skills with experience building complex financial models and analytical tools
- Experience with Power Query, Power BI, and Power Point
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Python, or other data analytics tools is a plus
- Proven ability to develop scalable reporting solutions, dashboards, and management reporting packages
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior executives and key stakeholders
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to a highly diversified portfolio spanning multiple industries and asset classes
