We’re partnering with our client, a leading alternative investment firm, to identify an Investor Relations Associate to join its team in Chicago.
This individual will support a highly visible, client-facing function focused on investor engagement, fundraising initiatives, and broader strategic priorities across the platform. The team works closely with investment professionals and senior leadership to help communicate the firm’s investment strategies and maintain ongoing relationships with its global investor base.
This role offers significant exposure across the organization and requires someone who can operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Support investor relations and capital formation activities across multiple investment strategies
- Partner with internal teams globally to respond to investor and prospective investor inquiries
- Assist in coordinating fundraising activity and tracking ongoing initiatives across the platform
- Help develop and maintain investor-facing materials, including presentations and written communications
- Support updates to due diligence materials and other investor resources used throughout fundraising processes
- Collaborate across investment, finance, and client coverage teams to ensure consistency in messaging and materials
- Conduct market and investor research to support positioning and communication efforts
- Assist in preparing updates for senior stakeholders and internal leadership
- 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, asset management, consulting, commercial banking, or a related financial services role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Interest in investor relations, capital markets, and institutional investing
