Position Overview

Finance Lead, Global FP&A –

Location:

Chicago, IL (hybrid). This role is central to the enterprise‑wide financial reporting and analysis function, supporting CFO‑cycle deliverables and senior leadership decision‑making. The finance lead owns critical reporting processes that shape strategic business decisions across JLL's operating segments.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly actuals, forecasts, and variance analyses; craft clear narratives on key business drivers across operating segments.
  • Manage J10 reporting and AR Metrics on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment; analyze trends and raise material variances to stakeholders.
  • Support consolidation engine during monthly close cycles to accurately aggregate segment financials for downstream reporting.
  • Contribute to executive‑facing deliverables (GEB Deck, Forecast Deck, ARC Deck); maintain data integrity and develop compelling narratives.
  • Conduct quarterly deep‑dive analyses on segment financial performance; identify trends, risks, and opportunities; maintain risk‑adjusted forecasting framework and R&O register.
  • Coordinate work across FDP and JBS analyst teams; review outputs, ensure deliverable quality, and mentor team members through shifting priorities.
  • Build strong partnerships with segment finance leads and the Global FP&A team; translate complex financial results into insights that drive business understanding and continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • 6–10 years of progressive finance experience focused on financial reporting and analysis, with ownership of recurring reporting deliverables in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
  • Experience working within or alongside enterprise‑level FP&A functions; exposure to segment or business‑unit reporting strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong financial modeling and variance analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards; ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure; build relationships and influence across functions without direct authority.
  • Experience coordinating work across cross‑functional or matrixed teams; proactive mindset and history of process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Real estate industry experience and familiarity with JLL’s business model and operating segments.
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Smart View, or Oracle OCI.
  • Prior exposure to CFO‑cycle reporting packages or board‑level material preparation.

    Background in consolidation processes and enterprise financial systems.
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior analysts.
  • Familiarity with risk and opportunity tracking frameworks and risk‑adjusted forecasting methodologies.
  • Track record of implementing automation or process efficiency improvements in recurring reporting workflows.
Compensation

Estimated total compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 per year (salary range; actual compensation may vary based on qualifications and market conditions).

Chicago, IL;
On‑site (hybrid with remote options).
