About the Role

We are seeking a Tax Senior Associate for our Real Estate group. We serve a broad array of real‑estate owners, developers, and investors, including public and private companies, homebuilders, real‑estate opportunity funds, hotel companies, private‑equity firms, REITs, and brokerage companies. Our team works on key client issues in domestic federal taxation using AI and cutting‑edge technology, focusing on implementing tax strategies that align with the client’s business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing complex tax returns.
  • Detailed review and analysis of tax returns.
  • Interacting directly with clients to handle questions, planning, concerns, and other matters.
  • Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues.
  • Developing, motivating, and training staff‑level and intern team members.
  • Remaining up‑to‑date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
  • Some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in accounting or a related field.
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA exam or a licensed JD.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing returns.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters of Accounting.
  • CPA, JD, LLM, or EA.
  • Experience with a national or large regional accounting firm.
  • Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation; review experience a plus.
  • Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus.
Benefits & Compensation

We offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people, with flexibility to balance life’s demands while serving clients. Compensation range: $67,900 – $128,700. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
