Position: Financial Solutions Advisor Registration Candidate - Central Chicago Market

Job Overview

As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), your journey begins with obtaining the required Securities Industry licenses, including the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66 Exams. Dedicated and personalized classes will prepare you for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66. Once licensed, you’ll receive foundational training to acquire, build, and manage client relationships and to consider clients’ complex financial pictures.

You will then work in a financial center, delivering Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions while humanizing financial interactions.

Upon demonstrating success as a licensed Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I, you typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II. In this role, you continue to practice and deepen relationships within a client portfolio, with opportunities to advance into other roles within Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy supports your development throughout your career journey.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and maintain Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66). (Minimum: obtain SIE within 30 days of hire and Series 7 & 66 within 120 days.)
  • Acquire, build, and manage relationships with clients, including banking customers, small business owners, and high‑net‑worth individuals.
  • Assess clients’ financial situations, provide comprehensive advice, and recommend strategies to help clients achieve financial goals and priorities.
  • Deliver client reviews and presentations with confidence.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners, connecting clients to Bank of America and Merrill solutions to meet their financial needs.
  • Maintain a portfolio of client relationships and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Register and comply with the SAFE Act requirements, including background checks and ongoing registration.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain required industry licenses.

Desired Qualifications
  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE).
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or at least one year of financial services industry or sales experience.

Education Requirements

Minimum:

Additional Context

This position is open for the entire market; specific Financial Center location will be based on business needs. If offered a position, training will occur at one financial center, potentially followed by a phone‑based capacity until another suitable central location is determined within a reasonable commuting distance to your home.
