Job Description
Seeking an experienced Annuities Manager with 5+ years in the annuity sector to lead product development, pricing strategy, regulatory compliance, hedging, and risk management. The role will drive growth in our annuities business and lead complex annuity-focused analyses.
Key Responsibilities- Lead complex annuity-focused analyses covering product development, rate setting, assumption benchmarking, hedging, and valuation.
- Own ongoing client communication, ensuring high satisfaction.
- Ensure technical accuracy and integrity in own work and that of junior staff.
- Produce executive level management reports and confidently present findings to senior leaders, clients, and executives.
- Build a strong industry network by demonstrating expertise and highlighting Oliver Wyman’s value.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Foster a performance driven environment that encourages team members to challenge the status quo.
- Promote active knowledge sharing to support continuous learning and improvement.
- Support professional growth of junior staff by expanding their annuity expertise and consulting capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., FSA, MAAA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with annuity products, hands-on pricing, product development, or in-force management.
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries credential preferred.
- Knowledge of annuity market landscape, key players, product development trends, and regulatory changes.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, effective in navigating complex problems.
- Proven team-leading ability with minimal oversight on multiple work streams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders and advocating initiatives.
- Organizational skill with focus on results and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of financial modeling systems or scripting languages such as Moody’s AXIS, Prophet, R, or Python valuable.
The base salary ranges from $100k to $195k, determined by experience, skills, location, and certifications. Position is eligible for performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. For more benefits information, visit the Oliver Wyman website.
