Investment Associate

Our client is a Chicago-based single-family office investing across both public and private markets. The firm manages a diverse portfolio that spans venture capital, private equity buyouts, hedge funds, public equities, and fixed income. The team takes a collaborative, research-driven approach to portfolio construction and is focused on building long-term value across asset classes.

They are currently seeking an Investment Associate to join their investment team in Chicago. This individual will work closely with senior professionals to evaluate, underwrite, and monitor investment opportunities across funds, co-investments, and direct investments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the due diligence and evaluation of investment opportunities, including fund managers, co-investments, and direct investments
• Performing comprehensive financial analysis, including valuation, return modeling, stress testing, and market research
• Assisting in the construction and maintenance of financial models used to analyze the portfolio’s cash flow, exposure, and risk profile
• Evaluating investment performance through both qualitative and quantitative research
• Collaborating with external partners, investment managers, and service providers to support the investment process

• 2–4 years of relevant analytical experience in investment banking, consulting, direct investing, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree with a record of strong academic performance
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with investment analysis platforms such as Bloomberg, Fact Set, Pitch Book, or Bip Sync
• High emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and a team-first mentality
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive, self-starter work ethic
