Overview
Join Macquarie's Futures Clearing Operations team and play a critical role supporting a global commodity and financial futures business. This role offers broad exposure across reconciliations, deliveries, expirations, and regulatory reporting in a fast‑paced, high‑performing environment, with strong opportunities for career advancement based on performance.
ResponsibilitiesYou will support futures clearing operations across major global exchanges, including CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX, ICE US, and ICE Europe, ensuring accurate and timely end‑to‑end processing. The role focuses on daily reconciliations of positions, trades, equity, fees, and carry brokers, as well as managing deliveries, expirations, and option activity. You will investigate and resolve discrepancies, support regulatory and exchange reporting, and partner with internal technology teams and external vendors to address system issues.
In addition, you will contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and operational risk mitigation within the clearing function.
Salary range for this position: $70,000 – $100,000 per year. Actual base salary may vary based upon relevant experience, time in role, market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in commodity futures or futures clearing operations, with a strong understanding of exchange processing and controls
- Ability to navigate exchange systems and extract, analyze, and reconcile data across positions, trades, equity, and fees
- Experience with automated reconciliation systems, including maintenance of static and translation tables
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to resolve breaks on a same‑day basis
- 1 wellbeing leave day per year and a minimum of 25 days of annual leave
