Pay Range: $29.36 - $47.79 per hour

SummaryThe Financial Analyst provides financial support to the department leaders. This will include the development of budgets and financial analyses, maintenance of financial reports, exemplifying the Rush mission, vision and values and acting in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree with three years’ experience OR master's degree with 1 year of experience.
- Strong financial analysis.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships and collaborate in the broad network of Rush University Medical Center (RUMC).
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and to work as part of a team.
- Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines, possess strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise judgment when dealing with confidential matters.
- Business acumen and ability to think systemically and strategically.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in clinical, research, or health care field.
- Five years of experience in healthcare administration or finance.
- Assist in the submission of budgets. Identify opportunities and recommend implementation of process changes to support greater efficiency and usefulness in the budget creation and tracking.
- Track monthly performance and financial data into an executive dashboard.
- Create various financial analysis reports as needed.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of financial reports and other paperwork.
- Track or coordinate the tracking of paperwork and maintain appropriate copies.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with key contacts including Finance.
- Prepare routine reports for management distribution (i.e., volume, CMI, FTEs, space, patient service revenue).
- Coordinate/compile data submission and maintain structure for Benchmarking and Productivity.
- Perform routine monthly data loads to budget system as well as maintain the dimension table.
- Support the annual operating and capital budget processes as well as interim reforecasts.
- Provide basic training and support to external departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
