Leveraged Lending Analyst
Work as part of the Leveraged Lending team focused on private equity-backed syndicated loans and direct lending. Support underwriting, credit approval, and portfolio management. Participate in analyzing financial and operating data, due diligence, and credit approvals. Contribute to deal screening, risk assessment, and negotiation of legal documents. Assist in determining hold appetite across revolvers and term loans. Experienced analysts may also join client pitches and cross-sell corporate banking products.
Key ResponsibilitiesNew Underwritings (60%):
- Review and analyze data rooms and key financial files.
- Lead due diligence calls with sponsors and company management.
- Collaborate with teams across Leveraged Finance, Industry Coverage, and Sponsor Coverage.
- Build and analyze LBO models for Credit Memos.
- Develop risk/return assessments, credit rationale, and business strengths/risks.
- Present and respond to questions from Investment Committee and Credit teams.
Portfolio Management (40%):
- Monitor borrower financial statements and track performance.
- Participate in quarterly lender calls and maintain ongoing communication with sponsors/management.
- Prepare quarterly and annual credit analyses and borrower reports.
- Regularly update internal risk ratings.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of allocated capital and credit risk.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities such as FX, interest rate hedging, and cash management.
- Research industry trends and comparable transactions.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting with strong academic performance.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate banking, corporate credit, or capital markets.
- Completion of a financial analysis credit training program preferred.

Compensation:
- Base salary with annual bonus eligibility.
