About the Position:
Performance Trust Capital Partners is seeking an analyst to join their trade desk. We are pursuing candidates with strong analytical, problem solving and collaboration skills to be an integral member of our team. Our clients include community and middle-market banks, insurance companies and credit unions, money managers and hedge funds. Our professionals use proprietary portfolio management tools based on the application of bond mathematics to help clients acquire securities that will meet their investment portfolio's strategic objectives and maximize returns.

This role will get operational exposure and is a path to a trading position.

Specifically, this individual will be responsible for the following:

  • Acquire a working, technical knowledge of fixed income products and investment portfolio strategy
  • Help distribute and execute bond auctions, inventory, marketing materials, and research pieces
  • Maintain and optimize intraday line item specific P&L and reporting
  • Keep diligent records of internal transactions and market data
  • Develop and maintain relationships with street participants, customers, and salespersons
  • Develop expertise in third party analytics software including Yieldbook, CPRCDR, and Bloomberg to support risk analytics, marketing materials, and esoteric projects
  • Communicate effectively and promptly with salespeople and traders
  • Miscellaneous projects for the Trade Desk as needed
  • Input trades into ticketing system in a timely manner per strict industry rules and regulations without sacrificing accuracy of the ticket information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a quantitative discipline, e.g., mathematics, finance, economics, engineering, computer science and/or statistics
  • Strong attention to detail and process, particularly when under the pressure of deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work without direction and follow through on given tasks
  • Ability to manipulate, interpret and communicate large datasets
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to think systematically and quantitatively
  • Ability to apply technology and/or quantitative skills to solve complex trading problems
  • Experience with programming, scripting, and/or statistical software?
  • License Requirements: FINRA SIE and Series 7, 63 or the ability to obtain licenses within 120 days of hire date
  • Candidates must be eligible to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000. This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors.

All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
