Tax Credit Senior Counsel

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Tax Credit Senior Counsel in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax credit finance and development, particularly in real estate finance and New Markets Tax Credits. Candidates in St. Louis are strongly preferred, though applications from other locations, including virtual offices, are welcome.

• Advise clients on tax credit finance and development matters.
• Manage complex real estate finance transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax credit regulations.

• Minimum of eight years of experience in tax credit finance.
• Experience with New Markets Tax Credits preferred.
• Active bar license in the corresponding state or commitment to obtain one.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active bar membership in good standing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
