Commercial Senior Portfolio Manager - Renewable Energy

General Function

The Commercial Senior Portfolio Manager is a key member of the coverage team, managing transactions and business portfolio tasks. PMs are expected to be intimately involved in the deal process, making recommendations on appropriate credit structures, pricing, and more. They are directly accountable for managing a portfolio of accounts through review of financial statements, proactive monitoring, and interaction with Credit Analysts.

PMs are responsible for risk management, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and delivering a positive customer experience while operating within the bank’s risk appetite.

• Manage a portfolio of accounts and review credit decisions.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to meet clients, participate in business development calls, assess prospective client viability, define borrowers and guarantors, and design deal structure, credit terms, and financial covenants.
• Generate commitment letters and interpret credit lending policy for business partners.
• Perform final risk rating analysis and document credit decisions, conditions, and modifications.
• Collaborate with Credit Analysts to establish and maintain Investor Groups on the lender portal, perform monitoring actions, conduct periodic deal reviews, and execute decisions to renew or modify deals.
• Communicate with clients regarding credit events and actions as needed.
• Pitch complex deal structures independently and mentor junior PMs and Credit Analysts.
• Provide partners with insights into the bank’s lines of business and related economics.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• At least 8 years of renewable energy finance experience.
• Highly proficient analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Professional, client‑facing presence.
• Experience managing an advanced commercial client portfolio with significant complexity.
• Ability to partner with clients, Relationship Managers, and credit teams.
• Expertise in financial and risk analysis, including financial modeling.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient with technology and adaptable to new applications.
• Some travel required.

• Base Salary Range: $96,500.00 – $ USD per year.
• Eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan based on performance.
