Job Summary
The Senior Director, Fin Tech Banking is responsible for establishing and building Old National Bank's Fin Tech banking business from the ground up. This is a foundational role charged with developing ONB's Fin Tech strategy, originating the initial client portfolio, and positioning the bank as a trusted operating bank for Fin Tech organizations.
This role serves as the primary relationship owner for Fin Tech clients and prospects, with a clear mandate to drive core deposit growth and treasury management adoption. As the Fin Tech vertical does not exist today, this leader will define client segmentation, target profiles, coverage model, and internal partnership approach in close collaboration with Commercial Banking, Treasury Management, Risk, Compliance, and Operations.
The role balances business development, relationship management, and disciplined risk stewardship, ensuring that Fin Tech growth is intentional, compliant, and aligned with ONB's long-term strategy.
Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is $127,900 - $258,600 per year. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers within this range may vary based on a number of factors, including the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate's relevant skills and professional experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location.
Key Accountabilities Build & Launch Fin Tech Banking PlatformEstablish ONB's Fin Tech banking business from the ground up, including defining target client profiles, coverage model, and go-to-market approach.
- Build the initial Fin Tech client portfolio from zero, developing a disciplined and scalable pipeline.
- Serve as ONB's internal Fin Tech banking subject matter expert, shaping strategy and best practices as the business evolves.
- Originate, onboard, and manage primary banking relationships with Fin Tech clients, serving as the sole relationship owner.
- Drive growth in core operating deposits and long-term relationship value.
- Develop deep understanding of client business models, transaction flows, and operating risks.
- Partner with Treasury Management teams to structure deposit‑led operating, payments, and cash management solutions.
- Drive adoption and expansion of treasury services that support stable, durable deposits.
- Act as a trusted banking advisor to Fin Tech executives and finance leaders.
- Coordinate internal partners to deliver a seamless onboarding and ongoing client experience.
- Represent the Fin Tech client perspective internally and guide prioritization as the portfolio grows.
- Establish and own relationship level risk management for Fin Tech clients in partnership with Risk, Compliance, Legal, BSA/AML, and Operations.
- Ensure onboarding and ongoing management comply with regulatory and policy requirements.
- Educate and align internal stakeholders on Fin Tech business models, risks, and controls.
- Coordinate with lending, FX, and FIG partners as needed, while retaining primary deposit relationship ownership.
