- Manages the daily P&L and valuation process covering various cash securities and derivative products.
- Prepares daily P&L and risk reports, as well as P&L attribution and explanation to clients.
- Prepares and manages monthly (or more frequently as required) price verification process and associated reporting.
- Manages any necessary model review process and associated documentation.
- Coordinated monthly close process with corporate/fund accounting.
- Engages with clients and valuation vendors to complete review of new products.
- Prepares presentations and analysis as required on trading strategies, process improvement, and valuation analysis.
- Designs and implements process improvements to improve daily P&L and price verification process.
- Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of the business unit / function.
- As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in‑depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.
- Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross‑functional and technically difficult.
- Balances high‑level operational execution and development with the strategic direction of business function activities.
- Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. In‑depth functional/industry knowledge is required. Highly flexible and adaptable to change. Technical skills/systems knowledge is required.
ExperienceA college or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred. Related industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is preferred.

Salary & BenefitsSalary Range: $74, USD. Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well‑being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
