Strategic Manufacturing Finance Controller

We're partnering with a growing food manufacturing business to recruit a Financial Controller who will play a critical leadership role within the organization.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this position offers the opportunity to lead the accounting and finance function, drive operational and financial performance, and provide strategic insight to support continued growth. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys partnering with the business, improving processes, and influencing decision-making across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities, including month-end, year-end, and management reporting
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Oversee operational finance, including inventory, costing, cash management, AP, AR, and payroll
• Partner with operations and production teams to improve profitability, efficiency, and cost transparency
• Lead manufacturing finance and product costing initiatives to support pricing and margin optimization
• Strengthen financial controls, compliance, and reporting processes
• Manage and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Support systems enhancement initiatives and help scale finance processes for future growth

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CPA/CMA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
• Experience with in manufacturing, food production, consumer products, or a related industry
• Strong product costing and inventory accounting expertise
• Experience with ERP systems, Quick Books, and advanced Excel skills
• Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and translate financial data into actionable business insights
