Healthcare Investment Banking Director
PegasusICS is a Chicago‑based middle‑market investment bank that seeks a highly motivated, experienced banker to grow its healthcare practice. The candidate will lead transactions, conduct new business development, and mentor staff. The role is a track to Managing Director.
Responsibilities- Conduct business development activities to identify, source and introduce potential clients for M&A and capital raising assignments.
- Participate in the preparation of client materials describing business, market positioning and financial condition.
- Identify potential buyers and investors and initiate contact on behalf of clients.
- Develop a network of contacts to expand client relationships and attract investors.
- Supervise and mentor associate and analyst staff.
- Expertise in the healthcare sector, preferably with operating or consulting experience.
- Five years of experience in advisory projects.
- Prior investment banking experience or knowledge of client expectations.
- Graduate degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a relevant professional designation.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and research abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and in a team.
- Strong networking skills to build and maintain a client and referral base.

The role focuses on the Extractive Energy practice, particularly oil field services. The Vice President will lead transaction execution and new business development, progressing toward a Director track.

Analysts gain extensive experience across mergers & acquisitions, financing and restructuring, working on generalist client engagements. The program is a competitive two‑to‑three‑year path leading to associate status and potential equity ownership.
Responsibilities- Analyze historical financial statements and projections.
- Perform financial analysis and modeling.
- Conduct company, industry, market and competitor research and due diligence.
- Assist in identifying prospective investors and strategic buyers.
- Support buyer due diligence efforts.
- Prepare Confidential Information Memoranda.
- Assist in executing M&A and capital raising assignments and project management.
- Create presentations for new business development and client engagements.
- Participate in client discussions and due diligence meetings.
- Maintain client relationships at appropriate levels.
- Assist with other marketing initiatives.
- Analyze M&A market trends and produce related research.
- Highest level of integrity, attention to detail and work ethic.
- Strong undergraduate academic performance and finance or accounting degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Compensation for analysts includes a portion of success fees during the first six months, followed by a base salary and bonus commensurate with performance and office income.
