Position OverviewAs a Healthcare M&A Investment Banking Associate, you will provide day-to-day execution of complex mandates, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory assignments. This role is central to a highly active middle-market platform that completes over 40 deals annually across a broad range of sectors, including healthcare providers, payers, Health Tech, and life sciences/medtech.
You will join a collaborative, non-regional team structure where you will work across various verticals and benefit from a deep bench of analyst support. This position offers a clear career progression with a tiered base salary structure:
- Associate I: $175,000
- Associate II: $200,000
- Associate III: $225,000
- Execution: Lead the day-to-day execution of M&A transactions and strategic financial solutions for both corporate and not-for-profit healthcare clients.
- Sector Coverage: Support sector coverage and business development initiatives within healthcare services and technology.
- Leadership: Manage and train junior investment bankers (analysts) to ensure high-quality deliverables and professional growth.
- Financial Analysis: Utilize advanced financial modeling and business writing skills to support client needs and capital-raising efforts.
- Strategic Advisory: Deliver innovative solutions by leveraging a deep understanding of healthcare constituencies and industry trends.
Must-Haves:
- Experience: 3+ years of direct investment banking experience specifically focused on M&A.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required; a strong academic background is essential.
- Skills: Proven expertise in financial analysis and excellent business writing capabilities.
- Work Ethic: Outstanding work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as necessary for client engagements and deal execution.
Preferred Skills & Licenses:
- Sector Expertise: Previous experience in Healthcare Investment Banking (IB).
- Licensing: SIE Series 79 and 63 licenses are highly preferred.
- Variable Compensation: Eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation in addition to base salary.
