VP of Finance & Business Insights

Full-time Employment – Chicago, IL, US

Position Summary

The VP‑Finance & Business Insights (“VP”) role puts you in the middle of a dynamic and fast‑paced environment with oversight over a wide range of Renovo’s capital markets and business analytics activities. In tandem with Renovo’s CFO and Head of Capital Markets, the VP will manage and direct loan funding and whole loan trading activities, and also be responsible for actively monitoring business performance (i.e. pricing, DQs, volumes, margins, etc).

The VP must be highly proficient in Excel, including VBA macros, and will also be expected to undertake a variety of financial analyses as directed by the CFO. The role requires intensive cross‑functional collaboration, as the VP will work closely with various departments across Renovo, including Accounting, Loan Servicing, Post‑Closing, and Credit/Risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop tools and dashboards to enable streamlined + dynamic loan funding allocation decisioning
  • Facilitate secondary market activities by synthesizing and summarizing loan‑level credit data
  • Oversee daily loan funding activity
  • Prepare and distribute monthly investor reporting
  • Prepare daily and weekly cash planning reports and dashboards
  • Track and report on metrics related to financing eligibility and covenants
  • Execute detailed analysis on Renovo’s originations, active portfolio, and exit history
  • Perform various ad hoc analysis and other responsibilities as needed
Position Requirements
  • 5‑10 years of relevant professional experience
  • B.A. / B.S. from an accredited four‑year college/university, MBA preferred
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, including VBA macros
  • Experience building financial analyses and models from scratch using internal databases
  • Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving ability with high attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Self‑starter with team‑oriented personality
  • Willingness to adapt and change with a fast‑growing company
