About the Firm

A private equity firm that manages multiple investment funds and single-asset continuation vehicles across a well-established platform.

About the Role

The Controller will report directly to the CFO and be involved in all operational aspects of the business, including financial reporting, tax planning and preparation, and acquisition and disposition due diligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements for limited partners
  • Oversee daily accounting operations including cash management, expense payment, quarterly closings, and journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Coordinate and support external audits
  • Manage accounting for purchase and sale transactions, including due diligence, agreement review, closing statements, and acquisition/disposition reporting
  • Review and validate investment valuations in collaboration with the investment team
  • Design and implement streamlined financial processes and internal controls
  • Calculate Gross and Net IRRs and other performance metrics
  • Assist in preparation of investor marketing materials, annual investor meetings, and fundraising
  • Compute and prepare capital call and distribution notifications; manage lines of credit bridging capital calls
  • Facilitate tax preparation and planning, including year-end audit deliverables, tax allocations, returns, and K-1s
  • Partner with senior management on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
  • Progressive experience (~7+ years) in accounting or financial management with significant hands‑on fund reporting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day accounting while driving process improvements
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel;
    Allvue a plus
