Chief Financial Officer - Pharmaceutical Services – Equity opportunity
Our client is a middle market pharmaceutical services business with a reputation for best-in-class services and strong growth potential. We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to be a key element of the executive team and to partner strategically with the CEO while building out and managing a sophisticated financial function in a high-growth, tech-enabled enterprise.
Responsibilities- Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive growth and profitability, communicating key drivers of the business as strategies are executed against corporate objectives.
- Build out and manage a comprehensive financial function, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, reporting, and internal controls.
- Lead the implementation and integration of processes and technology to support rapid growth and scalability.
- Provide financial leadership for strategic initiatives, including capital allocation, M&A evaluation, and pricing/contracting analysis as appropriate.
- Present timely, accurate financial information to the board and senior leadership; translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to optimize performance, risk management, and compliance across the organization.
- Travel on an as-needed basis to locations such as Toronto and Paris for short-duration engagements or collaborations.
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within pharmaceutical services or a closely related sector.
- Strong track record of building and scaling financial functions in high-growth, tech-enabled environments.
- Demonstrated ability to introduce and operationalize process improvements and technology solutions to support growth.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at the executive level and translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with practical execution capabilities, including capital allocation, budget management, and performance metrics.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other locations as needed.
