As an Investment Market Director within PNC's Institutional Asset Management organization, you will be based in Chicago, IL.
Reporting to the Institutional Asset Management Market Managing Director, the Investment Market Director will deliver OCIO (Outsourced Chief Investment Officer) solutions to our growing institutional client base of non-profit organizations, defined benefit pension plans, higher education institutions, and corporations across the market. Responsibilities include relationship management with existing clients, managing investment portfolios in accordance with the investment policy statement, while also developing and implementing strategic and tactical asset allocation changes based on each client's unique needs.
The ideal candidate has passion for global markets with an extensive background serving institutional investment clients with liability-focused portfolios, alternative investment strategies, and institutional level investment vehicles. A proven history of presenting firm views, resources, and capabilities to advanced investment committees (of all sizes) is critical. The Investment Market Director should be comfortable serving as the primary local investment resource who will frequently represent PNC Institutional Asset Management to current and prospective clients.
This includes interacting with C-suite executives and business leaders, both internally and externally in marketplace.
The Investment Market Director is expected to play a critical role in supporting the development of new business opportunities and collaborating with team members to help deliver investment solutions and services to prospective clients.
The CFA® designation is preferred.

** Job Description*
* + May provide portfolio/platform and relationship management services to a select number of clients with large and complex account types. Manages accounts in accordance with investment objectives that have been developed with the client, incorporating PNC's investment approach, philosophy and platform. Maintains expert level knowledge of complex investment and asset management strategies.
+ Responsible for leading the growth of assets under management and the retention of clients for the market(s). Serves as a resource and proactively supports the market's acquisition of new clients and expansion of services. Participates or may lead the investment sales efforts for select large and complex investment prospects.
+ Provides leadership and direction to investment professionals.
+ Executes risk management practices through the adherence to PNC's policies and procedures. Proactively identifies, resolves or escalates risk management issues. Accountable for the execution of policies and Regulation 9 in the market(s).
