Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) – Commercial Real Estate Team

Bank of America seeks a Senior Relationship Manager to provide advice and valuable financial solutions to complex Global Commercial Banking clients and prospects. This role focuses on building profitable relationships, coordinating with domestic and international teammates, and delivering customized financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an extensive portfolio of complex clients and prospects with annual revenues of $50million to $2billion.
  • Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancing existing relationships.
  • Understand and interpret financial and cash‑flow statements to assess the financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with domestic and international teammates—including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management—and coordinate with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services to design and deliver financial solutions.
  • Lead and facilitate dialogue with clients regarding industry, alternative capital structures, and general business issues.
  • Coach and mentor peers, utilizing leadership skills.
  • Adapt to changes in sales practices and market conditions.
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial real‑estate project lending and institutional financing.
  • Strong sales, marketing, and leadership skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships with underwriting partners, portfolio managers, credit risk managers, and other associates.
  • Credit underwriting, presentation, and negotiation skills; solid understanding of financial accounting, commercial loan underwriting, and the relationship between credit risk, structure, and pricing.
  • Familiarity with interest‑rate management products, deposit, cash management, and other fee‑based products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series7, and Series
    63 within 180 days of employment.
Education

Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Real Estate) or equivalent experience.

Work Schedule

Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)

Hours per week: 40

Compensation

Annualized salary: $140,000 – $235,000, based on experience, education, and skill set.

Eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and annual discretionary award based on overall performance.
