As an Underwriter II – Commercial within PNC's Regional Credit Products Group organization, you will be based in Chicago, IL. PNC is an in‑office company that fosters a supportive culture where employees can thrive and achieve balance. Job Description
  • Works under limited supervision or independently.
  • Uses independent judgment to identify risks and mitigants, prepares and recommends loan offerings based on scorecards and risk ratings.
  • Analyzes credit, collateral strength and financial worthiness of loan/transaction parties.
  • Prepares offerings for specific transactions or manages an assigned portfolio.
  • Interacts with internal/external customers and provides recommendations for credit structuring.
  • Performs ongoing credit risk management for the assigned portfolio when relevant.
  • Contacts external parties to gather information and clarify inconsistencies, incorrect or missing information.
  • Includes relevant pre‑approval and post‑approval activities as needed.
  • Identifies and confirms all external regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures internal policies and procedures are followed.
  • Recommends or directly makes credit decisions as appropriate.

Work Experience

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $90,000.00 – $ (may vary based on geographic location, market data, individual skills, experience, and education). This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
