Senior AML Governance Analyst

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Senior AML Governance Analyst to join our Financial Crimes AML Governance Team. In this role, you will manage and track the policies and procedures carried out by various AML units, as well as compliance‑related issues that could impact the Financial Crimes program. You will also perform risk assessments and maintain the Global Financial Crimes Control Library.

This position requires strong regulatory knowledge, issue and change management experience, and the ability to serve as a point of contact between key stakeholders and internal/external audit functions. The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has strong verbal and written communication skills, and can collaborate effectively across AML units to help govern anti‑money laundering risk at IBKR.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and track policies and procedures carried out by the various AML units as well as compliance‑related issues, ensuring timely resolution and regulatory alignment.
  • Maintain the Global Financial Crimes Control Library, which internal teams, auditors, and regulators use to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of IBKR’s AML compliance controls.
  • Conduct product risk assessments on new material products to identify inherent risks, evaluate existing controls, and recommend new controls to bring product risk within the firm’s risk tolerance.
  • Conduct periodic global AML and Trade Surveillance risk assessments across global IBKR regions (North America, Europe, APAC) to evaluate the Financial Crimes Control Library against regulatory red flags and protect the firm’s business services from exploitation for illicit AML/CTF or market manipulation purposes.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors, facilitating clear communication and coordinating responses to audit requests and inquiries.
  • Facilitate monthly global AML calls with global stakeholders to ensure alignment across IBKR’s global entities.
  • Provide support in developing and maintaining policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry or related relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of AML and trading products (Equities, Options, Futures, FOREX, and Crypto).
  • Experience performing risk assessments, controls testing, or similar assurance activities.
  • Experience with U.S. AML regulatory regime.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • ACAMS, CFCS, or other similar Compliance diploma or accreditation are a plus.
