** Job Description Summary
** The Financial Analyst I assists with performing professional financial analysis to support optimal decision-making for the organization. Responsible for insuring that all financial information generated is accurate and timely.

** Job Description
**** The Financial Analyst I will:
*** Perform financial analysis including standard modeling, projections, reports, and presentations using financial and encounter reporting tools and data.
* Provide key support and analysis in annual operating and capital budget planning process.
* Collaborate with and provide technical and analytic support to department managers in preparation of department level budget.
* Prepare monthly reports (specifically financial performance and capital budget tracking) and communicate trends and issues that impact the business.
* Assist in treasury functions such as cash management, investment management, and debt compliance.
* Assist with conducting financial and market analysis on various internal initiatives and external business development opportunities.
* Identify and recommend areas of improvements such as increasing the level of data accuracy or decreasing the time spent to update a model or report.
* Educate self through industry readings, conferences, and other forums on critical financial and healthcare trends.
* Perform financial risk and care/cost variation analysis including some advanced statistical techniques.
* Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the SRAlab.
** Reporting Relationships:
*** Reports directly to the Manager Financial Planning & Analysis
** Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
*** Bachelor's degree required - preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
* Entry level to 2 years of experience with basic financial skills, including a working understanding of the relationship between income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows, and learns to use professional concepts.
* Ability to apply critical thinking and analytic skills to formulate recommendations and resolve problems.
* Able to follow standard instructions, practices, and procedures in performing financial analysis and data modeling.
* Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in a clear and concise manner
* Ability to effectively prioritize concurrent responsibilities and meet timelines.
* Proficient with Excel functionality such as lookups, pivot tables, and charts.
* Proficient in the use of communication and organization tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
* Experience with financial planning tools such as Axiom or Adaptive Planning preferred.
