SVP, Finance & Accounting

My client, a growth-stage private credit lender with a publicly traded business development company (BDC) platform alongside several private funds, is looking for aSVP, Finance & Accounting to lead their finance function.

This is a hybrid 3-4 days in office role in Downtown Chicago. Compensation is around $200-300k base with a competitive bonus structure.

• Coordinate year-end audits and serve as main contact for auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators
• Design and test internal controls to meet regulatory and audit standards
• Build annual budgets and cash flow forecasts, tracking actuals for leadership
• Manage investor distribution mechanics, including tax documents and dividend processing
• Liaise with lenders on credit facility terms and amendments
• Oversee accounts payable and treasury, including borrower funding
• Prepare board and audit committee materials
• Support M&A due diligence and integration
• Compile quarterly and annual disclosure reporting packages
• Identify process improvements and partner efficiencies

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA a plus)
• CPA required
• 10+ years of relevant financial services accounting and reporting experience, including public accounting
• Experience with BDC or private credit accounting and investor reporting strongly preferred
• Deep knowledge of Investment Company accounting and reporting standards
• Prior supervisory/leadership experience required
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
