A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Senior Banking & Finance Attorney to join its transactional finance practice. This position is ideal for an attorney with 3–7 years of experience handling sophisticated commercial lending and financial services transactions at a law firm.
The successful candidate will represent lenders and financial institutions in a variety of financing matters, including commercial lending transactions, credit facilities, and public-sector financing matters. Candidates should have strong transactional experience, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Represent banks, financial institutions, and other institutional lenders in commercial lending transactions from initial structuring through closing.
- Draft and negotiate loan documents, including secured and unsecured term loans, revolving credit facilities, credit agreements, and related financing documents.
- Assist with lender-side financing matters involving letters of credit, reimbursement agreements, liquidity facilities, and other financial arrangements.
- Advise clients on public finance and institutional lending transactions involving governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, healthcare systems, educational institutions, and other tax-exempt organizations.
- Support transactions involving municipal finance structures, including bond financings, revenue bonds, general obligation bonds, municipal leases, and other debt instruments.
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to efficiently execute complex transactions while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of transactional banking, finance, commercial lending, or public finance experience at a large or mid-sized law firm.
- Experience representing lenders in financing transactions is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of loan documentation, credit facilities, and secured and unsecured lending structures.
- Exposure to public finance, municipal finance, tax-exempt bonds, or institutional lending transactions is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong commitment to client service and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and clients.
