- Provide the Trading & Shipping businesses with tax advice and analysis of U.S. federal income tax law
- Support the trading and execution of physical and paper trades across energy and environmental commodities
- Meet with business personnel to advise and provide counsel on tax matters
- Coordinate with a team of tax professionals in providing tax advice and assurance on investments
- Ensure that Trading & Shipping businesses are aligned with US federal tax laws
- Advise the Supply Trading & Shipping business on matters of transfer pricing
- Provide technical input to stakeholders to shape strategic direction of transfer pricing initiatives
- A degree level qualification and with a preference for a Juris Doctorate degree
- At least 5 to 10 years of relevant tax planning and advisory experience
- Strong preference for oil, gas and commodity trading tax experience
- Understanding of US corporate tax law
- Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating corporate governance and transaction documents
- Understanding of financial modelling and business drivers
- Understanding of transfer pricing rules and concepts
- Experience with cross border transactions between affiliates
- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent analytical skills in the areas of US federal domestic taxation
- Strong understanding of financial and tax accounting
Demonstrates expertise in U.S. federal income tax law, transfer pricing, and tax planning for the Trading & Shipping sector, with a strong focus on compliance and strategic advisory. Possesses extensive experience in corporate governance, financial modeling, and analytical skills related to taxation.
