Job responsibilities

  • Lead the dialogue with Commercial Real Estate Segment Heads, Regional Managers, and senior stakeholders across the Commercial Bank to deliver actionable insights on segment performance, client trends, and forward-looking outlook
  • Develop and present clear, decision-oriented financial analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) tailored to segment/industries; support strategic initiatives and ad-hoc requests as needed
  • Prepare presentation materials and financial analytics for financial reporting meetings, quarterly business reviews, and budget
  • Create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc)
  • Conduct deep dive analyses on key issues impacting clients/business to determine root cause and propose solutions
  • Partner with Business Management and Analytics and Reporting teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and the "so what, now what?" dialogue
  • Drive value-add change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • 7+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, Planning & Analysis and/or Accounting
  • Experience in corporate financial analytics with an understanding of a Bank's balance sheet, P&L and key drivers
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; strategic thinker
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and relationship management skills, strong executive presence, and ability to tell a story with data
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, Power Point
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate appropriately
  • Strong work ethic; work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and sense of urgency, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary
  • Experience with managing/leading a team
