ScopeAs a Vice President in our Financial Restructuring Group you will lead execution on a variety of transactions, including debtor‑ and creditor‑side engagements ranging from capital markets and refinancing transactions to M&A and broad restructurings. The group offers a unique opportunity to work on projects that provide exposure to a wide variety of financial advisory and investment banking products and industries.
KeyServices
- Advising companies and stakeholders in out‑of‑court and in‑court restructurings
- Raising debt and equity financing
- Providing distressed M&A advisory services
- Advising in special situations with elements of distressed investing
- Participating in complex negotiations on behalf of our clients
- Lead execution on creditor‑ and debtor‑side restructuring, liability management, capital markets and distressed M&A transactions
- Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information
- Coordinate and perform business due diligence, lead and execute M&A transactions
- Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
- Value companies and businesses
- Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements
- Lead a deal team including associates and analysts, serving as the day‑to‑day point person to drive a process and interact with the client
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors
- Degree qualified
- 7-11 years’ experience in Restructuring or Leveraged Finance
- Proven deal execution experience in Financial Restructuring, Leveraged Finance or M&A
- Demonstrable experience in leading discussions with senior client executives and target management
- Develop and review financial models
- Highly proficient at Excel and Power Point
- Strong understanding of credit documents and liability management transactions
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to grow our business and act entrepreneurially
- Motivated, creative, outgoing with strong skills in financial analysis
- Strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
- Keen analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Assist in initiating and extending group marketing and client development efforts
- Develop professional network and relationships with firm, client and target professionals
- Management skills in supervising and training staff
Houlihan Lokey offers a competitive total compensation package that may include discretionary incentive compensation. The salary range for this role is projected at $250,000–$260,000. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided.
