ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our M&A team in Chicago. This is a high-visibility, execution-focused seat supporting transactions end-to-end from valuation and diligence through structuring, documentation, and close. The right candidate is a strong modeler who can own work streams independently, synthesize complex financial and commercial information, and produce decision-ready materials for senior stakeholders and the investment committee.
This role suits someone ready to step up from a pure analyst function into greater ownership, direct advisor and management interaction, and broader responsibility across the deal lifecycle.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Build and maintain complex financial models of valuation (DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction), returns analysis, and integrated operating models.
- Develop EBITDA bridges, quality-of-earnings interpretation, debt capacity and leverage analysis, and sources & uses.
- Coordinate and manage due diligence work streams (financial, commercial, operational, tax, legal), including oversight of third-party advisors and QofE providers.
- Assist with preparing investment committee materials and the accompanying deal narrative translating analysis into a clear, defensible thesis.
- Support purchase agreement review and provide analytical inputs into negotiation (e.g., working capital, net debt, purchase price adjustments, earn-outs).
- Analyze complex structures including carve-outs, standalone cost, TSAs, and synergy cases.
- Own data room management, diligence trackers, and deliverable timelines across multiple concurrent deals.
- Interface directly with target management, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Owns assigned work streams with minimal direction and flags issues early.
- Produces clean, EXCO-ready analysis and narrative under real deadlines.
- Builds credibility quickly with advisors, management teams, and internal leadership.
- Operates as a reliable second set of hands across live deals trusted with judgment, not just execution.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
