We are seeking an experienced Wealth Management Advisor to join a growing independent wealth management firm managing approximately $2.5 billion in client assets, based in downtown Chicago.
This is a unique opportunity for an advisor who wants to step into meaningful client relationships without needing to bring a portable book of business. With several senior partners approaching retirement, the firm has a significant pipeline of established relationships ready to transition to the next generation of advisors. The incoming advisor will inherit and manage these relationships while building a long-term practice through referrals and new business development.
This position offers a legitimate succession opportunity, full planning and investment support, and a clear runway to build a lasting practice within an established, well-regarded platform.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as lead advisor and primary relationship manager for affluent and high-net-worth clients.
- Assume responsibility for established client relationships transitioned from senior advisors.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive financial planning and wealth management strategies.
- Advise clients across retirement, investment, tax, estate, and broader wealth planning needs.
- Coordinate with the firm's planning, research, investment, trading, and client service professionals.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships.
- Generate referrals and develop new client relationships over time.
- Collaborate with senior advisors during the handoff and transition of client relationships.
- Deliver a highly personalized client experience while maintaining the firm's planning-focused approach.
- 5+ years of wealth management, financial advisory, or private wealth experience.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage affluent and high-net-worth client relationships.
- Strong financial planning and relationship management background.
- Comfortable presenting recommendations and leading client meetings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the desire to eventually originate new business.
- CFP designation required.
- Series 7/65/66 or comparable licensing preferred.
- Portable assets welcomed but not required.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, including salary plus a comprehensive benefits package. This role is based in the firm's downtown Chicago office, however, satellite offices are available around the Chicagoland area.
