- Analyze and explain historical and projected financial information
- Perform business and financial due diligence
- Conduct industry, competitor, and sub-sector research
- Perform complex valuation projects using comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analysis
- Build complex financial models in Excel to assess company cash flows and/or value specific securities
- Prepare client/internal board review PowerPoint presentations supporting advice and opinions
- Assist and support business development initiatives
- Support relationships with current and prospective clients
- Execute client engagements and contribute to growing the Fund Opinions practice
- Partner with internal industry coverage groups and asset class specialists to deliver fairness and valuation opinions and advisory services
- An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
- 1-3 years of investment banking, valuation or related experience
- Strong accounting, finance, financial modeling and analytical abilities
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity and a results-driven professional
- A very strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently and a good team player
Demonstrates expertise in financial analysis, valuation methodologies, and financial modeling, with a strong ability to communicate insights effectively. Proven track record in conducting due diligence and supporting client engagements in a fast-paced environment.
