As a Trade Support Specialist
, Cumberland Options
, you will provide support to trading desks based in Chicago. This role offers the opportunity to solve complex problems while collaborating with experienced traders, researchers, and software engineers to improve operational workflow and leverage the right tools and technology.
- Provide operational support for several crypto trading desks
- Trade capture for products related to the desks’ activity: futures and futures options
- Trade and position reconciliation with clearing houses and brokers
- Daily P&L calculation and substantiation
- Gain mastery of the firm’s proprietary trade capture, inventory management, treasury management, and risk management systems
- Act as process owner for current functionality and advise on enhancements to technology, workflows, and processes
- Understand traders’ risk management tools and support related traders’ needs
- Upgrade and support traders’ tools to utilize firm-standard technologies
- Interface with technology to improve tools that fall short of desks’ needs
- Adopt, integrate, and promote new technology as it becomes available
- Strong interest or working knowledge and experience in crypto
- Experience with Version Control (Git), Python, Cron, Linux
- 2–3 years of experience in front office, middle office, back office, or risk management roles working with exchange-traded and OTC products and derivatives
- Experience with derivatives is preferred
- Significant interaction with front office and senior management in a trading environment
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, math, or another quantitative field, or material equivalent exposure
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions
The annual base salary range is $90,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
