AML​/BSA Officer

Downtown Chicago, IL 60607 (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Direct Hire/Permanent Position

$140k - $170k salary + bonus

Our client is seeking an experienced AML/BSA Officer to lead and oversee its AML/BSA Program. This is a highly visible role with direct interaction with executive leadership, regulators, auditors, and the Audit Committee. The ideal candidate will have a strong background leading an AML/BSA program, with particular expertise in mortgage lending, mortgage servicing, mortgage fraud investigations, mortgage related SAR filings, underwriting reviews, and mortgage risk assessments

• Active CAMS certification
• 10+ years of AML/BSA experience, with recent experience specifically with mortgage lending
• Recent and in depth experience with mortgage fraud investigation, mortgage related SAR decisions and filings
• Direct interaction with regulators, auditors, and examiners

• Leading the AML/BSA Program and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance
• Managing suspicious activity investigations and SAR reporting
• Conducting AML/BSA and mortgage-related risk assessments
• Partnering with business units to identify and mitigate fraud and financial crime risks
• Supporting regulatory examinations, audits, and remediation efforts
• Collaborating with Audit, ERM, Compliance, Legal, and business stakeholders
• Preparing and presenting reporting to executive leadership and the Board
