For our client, we are seeking a Director, Tax to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This senior leadership role will shape the organization's domestic and global tax strategy while serving as a key advisor to executive leadership. The position will focus on tax planning, compliance, governance, and risk management in a highly regulated, partnership-based environment. You will also partner closely with finance and leadership teams to support informed decisions on compensation, structural matters, and evolving tax obligations.

Location:

Chicago, IL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $245,087 – $345,926 annually

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of domestic and global tax strategy
  • Monitor legislative changes and advise leadership on tax impacts and planning opportunities
  • Provide strategic guidance on partner compensation and related tax considerations
  • Review and recommend updates to the partnership agreement from a tax perspective
  • Prepare and present executive-level tax analyses and recommendations to leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on complex tax matters
  • Oversee tax compliance activities and represent the organization in audits and disputes
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive tax experience in a professional services or law firm environment
  • Expertise in domestic and global tax compliance and risk management
  • Strong knowledge of partnership tax structures and regulations
  • Proven experience advising senior leadership on tax risks and planning opportunities
  • Strong technical skills in tax governance and controls, including cross-functional processes
