A leading global investment firm is looking to hire an Investment Associate into it's Venture Capital investment platform based in Chicago.
The team takes a stage-agnostic approach across Venture Capital and Growth Equity, investing primarily across Fin Tech, Capital Markets, Financial Software, Digital Assets and broader TMT.
Operating within a small, flat investment team, the successful candidate will have significant exposure across the full investment lifecycle, including:
- Sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities
- Fundamental company and industry analysis
- Financial modelling and valuation
- Preparing investment memos and recommendations
- Deal execution and structuring
- Portfolio monitoring and value creation
- 2–4 years' experience in a buy-side investment role or investment banking
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
- Experience across Fin Tech, Financials or TMT
- Strong commercial judgement and understanding of business models
- Genuine passion for investing and technology
