Role

Summary:

The Associate Relationship Manager supports Relationship Managers and senior team members in delivering exceptional service to Northern Trust Asset Management’s institutional investors.

This role is responsible for coordinating client servicing activities, managing operational and administrative processes, and partnering with internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate execution of client requests.

Key Responsibilities Support Relationship Managers in servicing institutional client relationships.

Assist with day-to-day client inquiries, requests, and follow-up activities.

Coordinate internal resources to help resolve routine client servicing and operational issues.

Track action items and ensure timely completion of deliverable.

Manage account maintenance activities, including onboarding, mandate changes, restructures, and account-related requests.

Develop an understanding of Northern Trust's investment solutions, institutional markets, and client segments.

Prepare materials for client meetings, reviews, due diligence meetings, and prospect presentations.

Participate in client meetings and internal discussions to build industry and product knowledge.

Support Relationship Managers in documenting client activity, opportunities, and relationship developments.

Necessary Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 1 to 2 years of experience in the financial services or investment management industry.

Foundational knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio management.

Ability to listen purposefully and apply problem-solving skills to identify and quickly address client servicing issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM platforms.

Series 7 and 63 licenses required and must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.

Salary Range:$74, USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
